Jayantha Gallehewa Honored with IFPSM President’s Award at World Summit, Mexico

At the IFPSM World Summit in Cancún, Mexico, Mr. Jayantha Gallehewa, President of the Institute of Supply and Materials Management (ISMM) Sri Lanka, received the prestigious IFPSM President’s Award for 2024. This award recognizes his outstanding contributions to elevating Sri Lanka’s Supply Chain standards and advancing the global industry.

As the only Sri Lankan and one of only three Asians to receive this honor in the past decade, Jayantha’s leadership has been pivotal in launching initiatives like National Supply Chain Day, the National Supply Chain Excellence Awards, and international training programs. He also introduced a proposal to integrate Supply Chain Management into Sri Lanka’s national education system.

Mr. Gallehewa is the Director of Supply Chain at Capital Maharaja Group and Vice President of the Organisation of Professional Associations (OPA), representing over 60,000 professionals across Sri Lanka.
