The Capital Maharaja Group (CMG) has successfully launched its SAP RISE implementation, marking a significant advancement in digital transformation. This achievement solidifies CMG's position as a leader in technology adoption, executing an unprecedented go-live for 73 companies within just four months and completing over 100 integrations.
The rapid resolution of all post-go-live issues within two weeks reflects the strength of CMG’s implementation strategy, supported by notable contributions from its SAP partner, Samishthi Infortech, the internal IT team, and cloud partner, Google Cloud. Their collaboration has enabled exceptional agility and resilience throughout the transition.
CMG's monumental efforts were highlighted at SAP's‘ Business Unleashed Innovation Day’. During an engaging fireside chat, Ms.Eshini Mudalige, Group Director of IT, discussed the future of digital transformation in Sri Lanka alongside Rajeev Singh, VP and Head of Business for Midmarket and Emerging Business in India. The dialogue underscored the strategic direction guided by CMG Chairman Sashi Rajamahendran.
The relationship between CMG and SAP dates back to2013, when it executed a successful “big bang” go-live across 19 companies, earning the prestigious ACE Award for Best Implementation. In 2019, CMG transitioned to Microsoft Azure, facilitating a seamless continuity of operations. The recent dual migration from ECC to RISE with a Brownfield approach further highlights CMG's commitment to leveraging cloud technology effectively.
SAP RISE stands as a key strategic asset for CMG, driving automation and data-driven decision-making. With mobile access via SAP Fiori and SAP Mobile Start, and plans for implementing a green ledger and carbon tracking, CMG is positioning itself as a sustainability leader in the industry.
