Capital Maharaja Group (CMG) has taken a bold step toward making a real difference in women’s lives by hosting a transformative Women's Wellness Event at a Safe Shelter run by the Organisation Sisters-at-Law. This was more than just a celebration for Women’s Wellness Month; it was a powerful call to action aimed at creating genuine change and support for overall health and wellness.
The event sponsored by Sri Lanka’s leading sanitary napkin brand “Eva” featured a dynamic and engaging agenda packed with interactive sessions led by inspiring industry leaders, legal experts, mindfulness coaches, and successful entrepreneurs. We weren’t just talking about women’s empowerment – we were equipping attendees with the tools they need to thrive!
CMG Group Director/COO, Nedra Weerasinghe, kicked things off with an energizing opening session that featured a heartfelt discussion with Marini De Livera, Attorney-at-Law and Founder/Chairperson of Sisters at Law, and Sonali Wanigabaduge, Attorney-at-Law and Company Secretary of CMG. They dove deep into the real challenges women face and how to navigate the protective legal framework available to them.
The momentum continued with CMG Group Director and Mindfulness Coach Eshini Mudalige leading an enlightening session on mental well-being through mindfulness, sharing practical techniques for finding inner peace and resilience. Psychologist Ms. Rasini Bandara joined in to offer valuable strategies for managing stress, empowering attendees to tackle life’s challenges with newfound confidence.
To cap it off, we were thrilled to have Niro M. Peiris, an accomplished entrepreneur, author, and photographer, close the day with an inspiring session that motivated everyone to chase their dreams and embrace their entrepreneurial spirit.
The event reached its high point with a lively networking session, where connections were made, ideas were shared, and friendships blossomed. One participant summed it all up perfectly: “This event has been very useful & given me the tools and confidence to face challenges in my life, knowing that we are stronger together”
This initiative shows that CMG and Eva are committed to making a genuine impact and goes way beyond the traditional celebrations for Women’s Day. By teaming up with organizations like Sisters at Law, we’re fueling a movement toward gender equality and positive change. Together, we’re fostering a community grounded in inclusivity, compassion, and empowerment!
